SPM MUSIC is an established network on the pulse of entertainment for Canada’s West Coast. Located in Vancouver, BC we are a serious presence in the local entertainment community. SPM MUSIC offers marketing consultation and promotional opportunities to independent artists and special event concepts. We successfully execute events through an experienced team, founded and developed by Sean McKay.SPM MUSIC are held with high regard within the many different sectors of business we collaborate with including the hundreds of local artists we have booked as well as the dozens of sponsors and venues we have partnered with on various occasions and continue to work with as our repeatable clientele.
Our actions and promotional efforts are highly regarded through the general media and public at large and we are a noted institution within the industry in terms of providing development for upcoming talent as well as promotional opportunity for both developing and reputable businesses alike. SPM MUSIC events are run with a professional and organized protocol that is well appreciated by all who have worked with us.
Special projects or events of significant mention include producing the 2010 Vancouver Music Industry Award Gala And Charity Golf Tournament. This two-day event for high profile guest and professionals in the Music Industry generated over $47,000 toward supporting the Sarah McLachlan Music Outreach and Music BC.
Other accomplishments stem from a four relationship and full time involvement with John Donnelly & Associates Event Marketing INC. Through the D&A office Sean played an integral role in several high profile and large scale events including the Virgin Festival 2007, 2009 JUNO Festival , The WestJet Street Party and the Award winning Opening & Closing Ceremonies for the 2009 World Police and Fire Games. (To which Sean composed the production's musical score.)
The most recent accomplishments have focused on the 2010 Olympic games, where Sean fulfilled several responsibilities ranging from conceptual design and talent booking, integral building layouts, construction renderings, project management on three Olympic sites and finally as the General Manager of Live at LiveCity Downtown for what was one of the biggest parties the city has ever seen!
Sean McKay is also an accomplished musician and producer as well as a respected member of the Vancouver music community. From the developing and producing of acts to the management and promotion of bands, including working with Phil Collins son Simon Collins and his Record Label Lightyears Music and working along side Sudden Death Recording Artist “Schulz” featuring ex-members of internationally acclaimed group KMFDM. Sean has advanced with a well-rounded approach to the music industry and is a leader in the field of entertainment marketing and artist development.
